Submitter: Short version is that this is a self-help guide in the positive thinking, stress reduction vein. I don’t want to know the long version. The illustration on page 37 was the first (and possibly last) explanation of the title.
Holly: The chicken what?? The 80s were full of these, weren’t they? Come to think of it, so were the 70s, the 90s, the 2000s… People love self help books. As weird as this is, if it still circulates it probably isn’t doing any real harm. (No more harm than any other self-help book, that is!) Weed for space, condition, or lack of use.
