Submitter: I wanted to share some photos of a book I inherited when I became the Library Media Specialist at the [Middle School] in [NJ]. It is entitled “Library / Media Manual,” by Diana L. Spirt. It was published in 1979 by the H.W. Wilson Company. Ms. Spirt was a professor of Library Science at the Palmer Graduate School of C.W. Post, Long Island University, on Long Island (the Palmer School is still going strong educating folk in the library and information fields!).
Holly: I’m sure this was a great book in 1979. Ya know, folks, Mary and I wrote a library science textbook too. (Shameless promotion! It’s available at http://ow.ly/2D4Eh) I sincerely hope that any libraries that purchase our book will WEED it within 10 years or so! I’ll bet author Spirt feels the same.
